Information on How to Contact Your Elected Representatives

Obain moments after hearing the wonderful news
The Fenway Community has reason to smile, but the fight is not over! On March 3rd Obain received word from his student "angels" in Washington DC that his deportation had been delayed until the end of the 107th Congress and that Senator John Kerry had introduced private legislation keep Obain safe here in the United States. On March 8th, Congressman Markey introduced similar legislation in the House.
Obain still needs passage of
the legislation and the signature of President Bush to guarantee he will never face the danger of deportation
again.
Therefore, we ask people contact their elected officials in all
ways possible, telling them that you want Obain to stay.
Fenway High School would like
to thank all those who have helped Obain take this first step towards true
freedom. If it were not for the love and kindness of countless people
across this globe, Obain would not be in the classroom today.
All because a group of urban teenagers would not let their teacher go.
